| In the context of digital mammography, registration has an important role. Since radiologists make comparisons between different views, positioning of mammograms is important to aid the radiologist during the mammogram interpretation. Not only in displaying mammograms but it can also be used to develop computer-aided diagnosis methods that use information from previous mammograms.
Like after menopause the dense glandular tissue starts disappearing, and there are no clear landmarks in a mammogram, except for the nipple, mammogram registration is a challenging task.
This Master Thesis has two main objectives. The first one is the study of different methods of registration and a comparison between them. The second objective is the implementation of the best method. |
