Books

The textbook of the class is
Alan Burns and Andy Wellings, "Real-Time Systems and Programming Languages, 2nd edition, Addison-Wesley, 1997 (ISBN: 0-201-40365-X).
Recently, a new edition (3rd) has been issued, which will of course be OK, too. About 2/3 of the course is covered by the book, so it is quite useful to have your own copy. It costs about 44,- Euros. There are also several copies at the "Institutsbibliothek".

Assignments

The excersises are held bi-weekly in two groups. Place and time:
  • Group 1: Monday, 9:45-11:15, V38.03
  • Group 2: Monday, 15:45-17:15, V38.03

Assignments are not graded and must not be submitted. They are discussed in the excersises acompanying the lecture. Even though solutions will be discussed at the exercises, students are encouraged to present their own solutions during the excersise. A significant part of the exersises (and the lecture) will use Ada95. We strongly encourage participants to familiarize themselves with Ada95 beforehand.

The individual assigments can be found below:
